Keeping Warm – Dragon Age Fan-Fiction Erotic Romance Short Story

Duncan and Fiona resort to more creative ideas to keep warm
only to discover how much they truly desire each other.

Note: Preview is SFW.

Duncan lay on his back on his makeshift cot in his tent, bundled between several blankets he had brought. He’d have thought after all these years as a Grey Warden and travelling and camping out, he’d have gotten used to Ferelden’s bitter cold weather, but no, he had not. He blamed his time at the palace and several estates, looking over the young Alistair in the luxurious warmth of fully furnished homes.
He was camped out near the Storm Coast now. He and a group were travelling to the Free Marches in an attempt to find any sign or clue of what may have happened to King Maric. The King had travelled the seas and disappeared not too long ago. Loghain had been adamant about finding Maric before determining what to do about anything else.
Duncan wasn’t travelling with only soldiers of the royal court. Fiona was with him too. He was glad of it. She was his good friend, and the mother of Alistair whom he looked after. She was a former lover of King Maric’s and had volunteered to search for him with Duncan.
‘Do you still love him,’ Duncan had asked her. ‘Not in the way that I used to,’ had been her reply. Fiona had stated that she was out here for Duncan because she missed the old days of travelling with him and cherished him as a friend. She wanted to see him succeed and wanted to be there for him if he needed her. He appreciated that. They had been through a lot together, after all.
A gust of wind made the tent billow. Duncan shivered. It wasn’t winter and yet it felt like it was. His body was shaking from the cold.
He had kept his armour on, only removing the excess metal plates – which didn’t serve to keep him warm anyway – so he could lie down more comfortably. Comfortable in such weather was hardly what he’d call it, but he had tried his best.
He heard something outside his tent and the flap to its entrance opened to reveal Fiona standing just beyond. Duncan looked up at her from where he lay, bundled and shivering as he was. Even now, older than she had been when he had first known her, she was a beautiful elf. And he wondered why he was noticing this.
She entered the tent. Her staff emitted a soft glow, just enough to light the tent in a subtle amber luminescence.
Fiona closed the tent’s flap behind her and moved towards him. ‘I can hear your teeth chattering from across the camp. And that’s on top of the wind’s howling.’
Duncan chuckled. His teeth had been chattering quite a bit, he had to admit. ‘Yes well, it’s cold Fiona, what do you expect?’
Fiona gave him a pointed look but said nothing.
‘Well, since you’re here, can you do something to help make me warm?’
Fiona set her staff down on the floor and sat down next to Duncan. She shrugged. ‘I used up all my mana earlier. I’m a bit depleted, if I’m honest.’
‘Great.’ His body trembled a bit more before settling down as he attempted to find a position in which he’d feel a bit warmer. ‘Then are you just here to watch me shiver and complain about it? Because if you are, then don’t bother. If you can’t help me keep warm, then you’re not allowed to complain about it.’
        Fiona raised a brow.
        ‘Sorry, I’m just…really cold!’
He noticed Fiona rubbing her hands together, her shoulders hunched from the cold, and she shivered too.
She sighed. ‘There might be something,’ she said. Duncan perked up. ‘But don’t get any funny ideas.’ He shook his head. ‘I’ve heard of people keeping others warm with their bodies.’
‘Okay,’ said Duncan, a little too quickly. ‘What do you propose?’
        ‘I act as a blanket.’
‘So, what, you just lie on top of me, or…?’ Duncan was confused, but if it was going to warm him up, who was he to complain.
‘That’s exactly what I’m proposing,’ Fiona replied.

Return To Me

Qunari attack Weisshaupt Fortress and Loghain must protect Ellana Lavellan
who escapes the fortress. When he arrives at the Grey Warden safehouse,
both are swept up in the moment and declare their love for each other.

Note: Preview is SFW.

Ellana sighed, gazing across the room at Loghain who sat on a chair near a small table, leaning back casually. He had one arm draped over the back of the chair.
‘I just feel trapped,’ Ellana complained.
        ‘I understand.’
The man had a rugged face with many lines from years of fighting wars and darkspawn. Ellana had for several months been staying at Weisshaupt Fortress with Loghain as her bodyguard.
‘Am I not entertainment enough for you, then?’ He grinned.
‘If you spoke more maybe you would be.’ Ellana sat down on the edge of the bed. ‘Perhaps a song and dance to cheer me up?’
Loghain chuckled. ‘You’re a popular woman, Lady Lavellan. It is safest for you to remain indoors. I wish I could give you a tour of the Anderfels, but alas, I, myself, have not visited much beyond Weisshaupt.’
Ellana shook her head. ‘You mean I am a woman who is wanted by every enemy faction Thedas has to offer,’ she muttered. ‘The Qunari, the Venatori, anyone who opposes the Inquisition. Makes me wonder if I should have disbanded it. I’m surprised no one’s sent the Crows after me.’
‘You are wanted,’ Loghain confirmed. His gaze grew intense before he cleared his throat. ‘You’re a formidable woman, Inquisitor. You have powerful allies and many connections. If I were your enemy, I’d sure as hell be coming after you too.’
Ellana let her sarcasm seep into her voice and rolled her eyes. ‘Thanks.’
She shrugged, looking at her left arm. It had healed well, and she was getting rather used to it by now. She didn’t mind so much anymore that Solas had severed her arm when he removed the anchor, she minded that he had lied to her for the entire time he had been with the Inquisition.
After the…ordeal at the Winter Palace, she had returned to Skyhold for some time until the attacks had begun. Venatori had first come for her; it was all the others could do to thwart them. Then the Qunari had assaulted the fortress, and rumour had begun of various groups attempting to stop the Inquisition. So, it had been deemed best to hide her, and she had been here at Weisshaupt ever since. The only person who wasn’t coming after her was… She didn’t want to think of him.
She looked at Loghain; his deep gaze remained fixed on her, his blue eyes piercing.
Ellana’s lips quirked into a smile. ‘If I didn’t know better, I’d say you just enjoy admiring me.’
‘Thankfully,’ Loghain sighed, ‘you know better.’
        Ellana feigned dejection. ‘Gee, thanks.’
Loghain remained transfixed on her. ‘Besides, you wouldn’t want an old man like me.’
‘Oh? What makes you say that?’
He shrugged, leaning forward, resting his arms on his knees, looking grim. ‘I’ve long since stopped allowing myself to care for another. I’ve lost all the women I ever loved in my life. I’ve lost family, and friends I cared deeply for. My mother, my father, Maric, Rowan, Celia.’ He momentarily closed his eyes, a pained expression on his face. ‘It’s better for me to put things of the heart behind me, for it only ends with heartache.’
‘Yeah, you probably do well.’ Ellana bowed her head. ‘Love someone, and then they lie to you and leave you, take your arm off, and go off to destroy the world.’ Then, she added, muttering, ‘Lying god of an elf.’
That got a chuckle out of Loghain. ‘Now you know why I’ve spent most of my life distrusting elves.’ Ellana looked up, cocking a brow. ‘Actually, you’re the first elf I’ve ever fully trusted.’
‘Wow, what an honour.’ Ellana put her hand to her heart. ‘I will do my best to ensure that trust is not misplaced.’
They both laughed before sobering again. Loghain’s gaze always remained on her.
‘And you’re not hoping to rekindle…’ He trailed off.
‘No,’ Ellana replied flatly. ‘It’s over between Solas and me. I made that very clear when he…removed the anchor.’ She studied Loghain for a moment. ‘You have nothing to worry about.’ He looked away suddenly, as though flustered. ‘I will not let my past relationship with him stop me should I be required to save Thedas.’
‘Right.’ Loghain sounded all business-like. He shifted. ‘Well, I have matters I must attend to. Grey Warden matters.’
And without waiting for an acknowledgement, Loghain left the room.

* * *

It was near night when Ellana heard a scuffle down the hall and some shouting. She turned, startled, as Loghain hurried into her room, his bow drawn with an arrow already nocked for good measure. Many other wardens followed him in and they barricaded the door.
‘What’s going on?’ Ellana asked, alarmed.
‘The fortress is being attacked,’ Loghain said hurriedly. He turned and barked some orders to some of the other wardens.
        ‘By whom?’
‘Qunari!’ He paused, looking at her intently. ‘You must leave.’
        ‘What?’
‘We’ve bought you enough time to gather your essentials, then you must go.’
        ‘But go where?’
Loghain took one step forward and lowered his voice. ‘I’ve assembled a team to protect you and escort you to Hossberg.’
Fear gripped her in the pit of her stomach. ‘You mean, you’re staying here? Loghain, I thought you were to guard me.’
Loghain narrowed his gaze. ‘That is precisely what I’m doing now.’ He motioned to himself and other wardens. ‘We’ll hold them off for as long as we can. But… They’ve come for you. My job is to ensure they don’t reach you.’
‘I could stay and fight,’ Ellana insisted. ‘I’ve trained with my prosthetic. I can shoot my bow just as accurately as before.’
‘Perhaps, but can you defeat an entire army of Qunari?’
‘And you can?’ Ellana hadn’t realised just how high-pitched her voice had gotten and her heart was racing as much as her mind was.
Before Loghain could argue, a Qunari leapt into the room through the window, brandishing an axe.
Loghain shot the Qunari with his bow, but the arrow barely did any damage. An arrow flew in from the other direction as a Qunari archer leapt in after the warrior. Loghain took the arrow in the shoulder. He grunted in pain, plucking it out, and poked the warrior’s eye with it. He kicked the Qunari as the other wardens took down the archer.
Loghain skillfully switched to his sword and slashed at the Qunari’s neck. The warrior brought up his hand to block the sword. Loghain pulled it out of his grip and lunged forward, impaling the Qunari before pushing to drive his sword in deeper. Then, he kicked the Qunari off his sword.
Panting heavily, he looked at Ellana. ‘Your window of time has closed. You must leave now.’
Blood dripped from his sword, as did some from his wound. Ellana took a step forward. ‘I’m not leaving you.’
‘Go!’ Loghain growled, taking a step towards her. His gaze was earnest and his eyes lingered on her a moment longer before he spoke more softly. ‘Go.’
For the first time since she’d arrived at Weisshaupt, Ellana realised what it was she felt towards the man before her.
‘Not until you promise to return to me.’
Loghain sucked in a breath. He half-whispered. ‘I promise.’
Ellana nodded, backing away. Loghain turned to the door as the Qunari on the other side of it began to pound it.
Loghain snapped his head towards Ellana. ‘Go!’ he shouted.
Ellana turned and hurried, following her Grey Warden escorts through a secret passage in the room, down several stairs, and out through a door she didn’t even know existed in the fortress.
Another group of wardens joined them after they had travelled for several leagues. A small band of Qunari gave pursuit but were quickly taken down by the wardens. Otherwise, the hurried trip to Hossberg had gone with less incident than Ellana had feared.
The wardens housed Ellana at a Grey Warden safehouse near the centre of the city. And there, as the days passed, Ellana waited for the return of her Grey Warden bodyguard.

* * *

One morning, after many long days, there was a commotion within the estate, and in stumbled Loghain, limping into the hall.
‘Where is she?’ he growled. ‘Is she safe?’ He leaned heavily on his sword.
        ‘Loghain!’ Ellana exclaimed.
The man had multiple wounds and was bleeding from many places. His Grey Warden leathers were torn, the metal plating on his chest scratched and bent, and his face bore a gash along one cheek.
He looked up at her, eyes wide with relief. ‘Ellana,’ he whispered.
        And then he collapsed.

Cookies For Wifey

A new fluffy piece of Fan-Fiction is up, cute and wholesome like the Chibis I had drawn by my friend SavvyScribbles.

This Dragon Age fanfic short story was written for my step-daughter’s Sweet Sixteen.

Sera and Eclipse Lavellan are celebrating one year of marriage.
They each want to make a special surprise for the other.
Little do each of them know, they have the same idea.

The smell of something burning filled the air in the tavern’s kitchen.
‘Oh no!’ Sera complained. Sweat beaded on her brow, making her blonde bangs stick to her skin.
‘I don’t think you’re supposed to cook the raisins before putting them in the dough,’ said Iron Bull, plucking one of the charred raisins from the cooking pan. He observed it carefully, without heeding the burning raisins, it seemed.
Sera grabbed the pan with a mitt and tossed it aside; it clattered loudly as it hit the countertop.
‘Not the end of the world, right.’ She looked to her Qunari friend for confirmation.
He shrugged, popping the burnt raisin in his mouth. ‘I still don’t understand why you wanted me to help you with these, Sera.’
‘Because you sort of did that thing, yeah, with the rice, yeah, and you made it taste good, yeah?’
Iron Bull nodded, a smug grin spreading across his face.
‘You can help me make the cookies taste good, yeah?’
Iron Bull pursed his lips. ‘I’ll see what I can do, but I’m not doing all the heavy lifting.’
‘Nah, of course, not. Flour isn’t heavy.’ Sera pointed at a bag of flour. ‘Now pass the flour and the spalaturilla.’
‘You mean the spatula?’ asked Iron Bull.
‘What…ever! Just pass it to me!’
Iron Bull chuckled. ‘Okay, let me get the sugar for you, I’ll measure the ingredients.’

* * *

‘And you’re certain soaking the raisins in the honey will enhance their flavour?’ Eclipse asked, a little sceptical.
‘I guarantee it.’ Dorian motioned to the bowl with a flourish of his hand. ‘It is done in Tevinter, and most of the bakers in the Imperium take pride in it.’
Eclipse cocked a brow, even more dubious than before.
‘Let them sit for a bit,’ Dorian said, his tone reassuring. ‘They’ll be ready once the rest of the batter is ready.’
        ‘All right.’
Eclipse began mixing all her ingredients into a bowl, while Dorian stirred the soaking raisins. They were working in Skyhold’s main kitchen and were making good progress on their batter already.
Finally, Eclipse added the raisins to her recipe. Dorian dipped his fingers into the bowl of raisins before they had all been transferred and ate one.
He smacked his tongue. ‘Delicious.’ He went to grab another.
Eclipse playfully slapped his hand away, suppressing a smile. Dorian gave her a look of mock vexation.
        ‘Help me shape these.’

* * *

Sera stared into the oven watching the cookies bake.
‘I think I see them rising. Do cookies rise? Are they rising? They’re not rising fast.’
‘Give them time,’ said Iron Bull, his deep voice sounding soothing.
        ‘Yeah, waiting sucks.’
Iron Bull chuckled. He passed her the bowl in which remained a bit of batter.
‘Here.’ He passed her a spatula and took one for himself. ‘This is the best part.’
        ‘Now you’re talking.’
Together, they dipped in, scraping the bowl clean and eating whatever remained of the dough.

* * *

‘Perfect!’ Eclipse clapped her hand excitedly.
‘Only a true test will tell,’ said Dorian, grabbing one of the cookies. He took a bite. ‘Mmhmmm.’ He closed his eyes, chewing slowly.
‘Does that mean it’s good?’ Eclipse asked, unsure.
‘Mmhmm,’ was all the reply she got.
‘Then I’ll have to take your word for it.’
Taking a platter, she stacked the cookies on it and then started for the door. Before she exited, Dorian came to gallantly open the door for her, and then snatched another cookie from the plate. Had Eclipse not needed both hands, she would have again slapped his hand away. Instead, she narrowed her eyes; Dorian merely shrugged.
        ‘Enjoy.’ He chuckled.
Eclipse hurried through the courtyard, where Cullen was snapping orders at the soldiers training, and bounded up the steps.
‘In a hurry?’ asked Varric, looking up from a book in which he was writing.
Eclipse ignored him and hurried past. She ran up the stairs to her Inquisitor’s chamber and sighed in relief when she realised she wasn’t late.
But not a moment too soon, there came a knock at the door.

An Arousing Choice Fanfic

Another Dragon Age explicit fan-fiction short story has arrived, this time with the demon Imshael in Emprise du Lion. Here is a SFW preview.

Evelyne Trevelyan encounters the demon Imshael to whom she proposes a different choice,
one that leads to him giving her multiple orgasms.

Evelyne Trevelyan and her team approached the great statue of Andraste at Suledin Keep in Emprise du Lion, where the demon called Imshael stood. The Forbidden One greeted her with an indignant tone.
‘Ah, the hero arrives,’ he said. ‘But is it hero or murderer? It’s so hard to tell.’
‘You’re the demon called Imshael!’ Evelyne was surprised. When Michel de Chevin spoke to her about the demon, she didn’t expect to find a man standing before her, let alone a handsome one. Then again, he was a demon.
        ‘Ahem! Choice Spirit,’ Imshael insisted.
‘Maker, give us strength,’ Cassandra complained.
Evelyne suppressed an amused smile. The way the demon’s eyes furrowed taunted her forward, and she felt a flutter in her stomach.
‘Wait, wait, wait!’ he commanded, his gruff voice sending a shiver of arousal through Evelyne’s body. There was something in his voice that made her crave to hear him speak more. ‘These are your friends?’ Imshael went on. ‘They’re very violent, it’s worrying. True to my name, I will show you that you have a choice. It doesn’t always have to end in blood.’
‘Talk!’ Evelyne commanded him, careful not to let her curiosity seep into her voice.
        ‘Inquisitor!’ Dorian exclaimed.
‘It’s simple,’ Imshael explained, ‘we don’t fight, and I grant you power, I shower you with riches, or maybe give you virgins, your pick, and then we all live happily ever after. Well, not all of us, but who’s counting.’
Evelyne looked at her companions, then back at the demon before her, mulling her options over. ‘I might have something else in mind for what you might be able to grant me, but it’s an interesting proposition.’
‘Inquisitor!’ Cassandra exclaimed. ‘You can’t seriously be considering this demon’s—’
        ‘Choice spirit!’ Imshael replied pointedly.
‘Imshael, is there a place where we might be able to speak more privately?’ Evelyne asked.
        ‘Certainly, Lady Trevelyan.’
        ‘Inquisitor!’
        ‘Stay here. I’ll be fine.’
Imshael motioned for her to follow, and led her through another part of the keep’s courtyard and into a large alcove-looking section. He closed the gate behind him. Large tents lined one wall; the area was closed off by rubbled walls and large cedar hedges.
‘We will have complete privacy here,’ said Imshael.
        ‘Good.’
‘What did you wish to propose, Lady Trevelyan? I have offered you what most desire to possess.’
‘It’s not what I desire,’ Evelyn said, taking a few deliberate steps towards Imshael.
‘Then what is it you desire?’ the demon asked.
