Shaken Cocktails

Here you can find all cocktails that need to be shaken (at some point in the process) and/or require a blender. All of which have been created by Celinka Serre. Recipes are in order of most recent.

Ophelia Cocktail (the 1st drink I ever invented)

SEX IN THE SNOW

SITS for website 02

-Apple slices (from one small apple or half a big one)

-3/4 oz to 1 oz Vodka

-1/2 oz Crème de Menthe Clear

-Apple Juice

-Coconut Milk

Another drink inspired by the famous Sex On The Beach. In a Blender, place in a few ice cubes and the apple slices. Pour in the Vodka and Crème de Menthe Clear. Then add the apple juice, enough to almost cover the slices, but not completely. For the Coconut Milk, if you like more coconutty tastes, you can add in an amount equivalent to double the amount of apple juice. Otherwise, anywhere from the same amount to a bit more should do. Blend it and pour in a tall glass. This will serve 1 person.

RIB BERRY

– 2 table spoons of Homemade Blueberry-infused Vodka

– 3/4 oz Dry Gin

– 1 1/4 oz Sour Puss

– Wilberry Juice

– Sprite

This drink was invented at my 30th birthday party. We are four to have come up with the final product: Dave Ribeiro (a.k.a. Rib), Amélie Thibeault, Simon Aubut, and me. Named after Dave (Rib) for coming up with the berry blend part of it, while we figured out what to do with the Blueberry-Infused Vodka. In the end, it was a real hit. A real party drink, popular with everyone! (Warning: drinking one will make you want more, drinking several may cause a hang over the next day). So here’s how you do it.

BLUEBERRY INFUSED VODKA: Put 6 oz of frozen blueberries in a glass using a regular measure for ounces. Pour in 8 oz of Vodka. Cover and leave in fridge for 1 to 2 weeks.

RIB BERRY: In a shaker, pour in the Blueberry infused vodka, Gin and Sour Puss. Pour some Wildberry Juice (I used the one from Oasis). Shake well. Then pour the shaken concoction into a glass until half full. Then plop in some ice. Then fill the rest of the glass up with Sprite. You may decorate with some of the blueberries that are now infused with vodka.

THE OPEHLIA COCKTAIL

IMG_1192 copy

– 1/2 oz White Rum

– 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps

– 1/2 oz Blue Curaçao

– Red Cranberry juice

(serves 1)

In a shaker, place ice as wanted. Pour in White Rum, Peach Schnapps and Blue Curaçao. Fill with Red Cranberry juice as desired. Shake well. Serve in cocktail glass. Should give a purple/black hue, sometimes bluer depending on proportion of juice versus Blue Cruaçao.
