Excerpt:

My eye caught a man who stopped dancing to stare at me, his hungry eyes roving my body, his mouth open just enough for me to see him lick his lips. By the way he was salivating, I assumed my quarry was into men — or at least into me.

His eyes shone green like the sea, though I wasn’t certain due to the lights around him. His face was more clean-shaven than mine, and he had smooth-looking porcelain skin, soft cheekbones, and dimples on the sides of his mouth, with lips alluringly red in the dim light and oh-so inviting.

I was caught in his gaze, everything around me growing quiet.

Few had ever had this effect on me before — but him, he would be fun to play with tonight.

Grabbing the edge of the counter, I hopped over, garnering a round of applause and whoops from the clubgoers, and I marched straight to my quarry. His eyes widened and I saw his face redden beneath the neon lights.

He was but a couple of inches shorter. I loved that. I could envelop him in my embrace from above yet still meet his gaze and claim his lips easily. I couldn’t wait to do both.

‘I need help spreading this saké all over my body,’ I declared. ‘Care to give a man a hand?’

If he could have drooled, he would have. He slurped, then blinked, before offering me a lopsided grin. I could see his gaze roving my chest — from the full moon Inyo that shone behind the indigo dragon, following the serpentine body of the dragon down to my beltline — before his captivating eyes met mine again.

He bit his lower lip, raising his hand tentatively.

‘Don’t be shy,’ I encouraged. ‘I won’t bite you . . . unless you want me to.’

‘Fuck,’ he exhaled, his herbaceous breath on my face. ‘I want you to bite me.’

Oh, that tightened my pelvic muscles and had me reacting in all sorts of wonderful ways, with tingles coursing through my body.

‘You want me to claim you?’

Grinning, I leaned in towards his ear, ignoring all the shouts of disappointment from the ladies, or the cheers from anyone else around us. I spoke softly enough for my words to sound like a whisper, loud enough to be heard, my voice a sultry purr.

‘Then if you’re good to me, I might reward you.’

A Sublime Search – Stardust Destinies Book 3 Epic Fantasy Showcase

Memories are all but lost when the phantoms strike again.

A Sublime Search is the third novel in the Stardust Destinies New Adult Epic Fantasy/High Fantasy Adventure series with Romance, Dragons, Mystery and much Magic.

With the Five of the Star separated from each other and from their allies, they must find the strength to carry out their mission, despite their enfeebled states. Niome must reach deep within to find her true power, but a ghastly encounter leaves her on the brink of death.

As Mirauk’s phantoms hunt the Five, and as Bahvley strives to remember his forgotten past, they all face the might of Mirauk’s magic unlike they’re ever encountered before.

Excerpt from Chapter 2: Enduring the Night:

Fire formed a blistering boundary all around the phantoms, and Tharguen found himself in the middle of it. Huck, thankfully, was on the outside.

Tom frowned, feeling he should have been more prudent. Several Tellens and Firlanians were caught within the ring as well.

Tharguen looked about, turning around in a circle on himself. It was like in his dream – a ring of fire – and he was drenched in blood, stained on the side and in the front, though it wasn’t his own.

The phantoms circled slowly around the ring, watching Tharguen as he walked in the same way, watching them, he and the five phantoms each at a different extremity. Tharguen tightly held his sword by his side in one hand.

Wakhik hakhev kuyokh echom hakereth?’ Tharguen quavered.

He was bound to find out sooner or later why they were here and what they wanted. Some of the phantoms showed surprise when he spoke their language, but the others, inexplicably, seemed to know him.

He went on, ‘Wokh dikhed Mirauk colmakh nekedh kuyotho kitgok retakhif?

‘Fairhaven!’

‘I’m right here!’ Bahvley taunted, glaring at them from across the tall flames. They did not respond.

‘Bahvley?’ Tharguen asked the phantoms.

Ewekhewer deskirpakh chussaro kiteskë mikh akvelrig,’ said another one of the phantoms, ‘tukheb ekhsi tokhan wokhew tanwakh.

Wokh nekedh!’ Tharguen demanded with more authority.

‘Niome Fairhaven!’ said a third.

‘What are they saying about Niome?’ asked Tom, deeply concerned.

‘They want her,’ said Tharguen, his blood running cold amidst the scorching heat. ‘That’s what they came here for. They’re looking for Niome.’

‘They’ll never have that satisfaction!’ declared Bahvley. ‘They may try to harm my sister, but they’ll have to deal with me first.’

‘Oh, they’ll have to deal with me, too,’ seethed Tharguen. ‘Perhaps they ought to know she’s not here. You got that, phantoms? Niome si tokhan hakereth!

There was some grumbling among the shadowy forms.

‘Tharguen,’ said Bahvley, ‘tell them we won’t let them kill Niome.’

Ew wokhnit khetel kuyoth khikli kerkh.

Mirauk odkez tokhan tanwakh kerkh adekhed.

Takhwodkez ekh tanwakh?’ asked Tharguen, not understanding what the phantoms meant.

‘What did it say about Mirauk?’ asked Bahvley.

‘I don’t understand,’ replied Tharguen. ‘They claim he doesn’t want her dead.’

Okit konowë wok hokit yirotesdeth kefiv! . . . Achnad kuyokh.

‘You may try to kill me . . . but you’ll never destroy the Five!’ growled Tharguen. ‘I will never let you hurt Niome!’ he yelled out as he charged.

‘No, don’t!’ shouted Bahvley.

Murderers Being Murdered – Turbulent Justice Murder Mystery Gay Romance Book Showcase

‘Let’s see this justice done together.’

Turbulent Justice is a Murder Mystery and Gay Romance short story.

Luke and Zach are called in to investigate a series of murders that occurred overnight. As more clues are discovered, links to their pasts and the deaths of their former partners are revealed, challenging their own commitment to each other. And as they unravel the truth, their emotions spiral.

Excerpt from Part 1:

‘Do you remember what I told you when I started working with you?’ Zach asked suddenly, his voice filled once more with conviction.

‘You said you were going to bring justice to the world because it had failed the man you loved. And I said I was still pursuing it because a mistake I made led my husband to be murdered.’

‘We promised we would see it through together,’ said Zach. ‘It was a vow. That’s why—’

Both their phones began blaring. Glancing at both their screens, Luke knew Zach had received the same message. Murder vic found. The address of the crime scene followed.

Luke and Zach took their coffees and left quickly in their vehicle. As Luke turned onto the freeway, he glanced at Zach.

‘We got interrupted. You were about to add something.’

Zach smiled mildly. ‘It’s fine. Let’s see this justice done together first.’

Luke reached over to squeeze Zach’s thigh. ‘When I say I’m not opposed, I mean to say that I just need to process emotions because I’m a widower. I do want a long future with you, Zach. Heck, we’ve been together nearly a decade – of course, I want our relationship to last. Every day with you feels like a miracle because . . . Every time we get a new case, every time we might be risking our lives, it’s as though not being married will protect me from the hurt because . . .’

Luke kept his focus on the freeway traffic, his heart racing from admitting all these conflicting emotions. Zach waited for Luke to continue.

‘I am . . . scared,’ Luke finally expressed. ‘Scared to lose you too.’

It was Zach’s turn to reach over and squeeze Luke’s thigh. He spoke softly. ‘I have that fear too. Which is why I understand.’

The two remained silent until they arrived at the crime scene. Luke took hold of Zach by the arm to stop him before they entered.

‘I do want to.’ Luke confirmed.

Hope and sadness warred on Zach’s face. ‘Tell me that again if you still want to tomorrow.’

Luke breathed out a small laugh. ‘A good twenty-four hours after the topic came up? You using my own wisdom on me now? Fine, we can reassess when—’

‘When we’ve solved this case.’ Zach marched into the house. Luke followed.
