Chapter Seven – Healers of the Force (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Relsor relished in the scene he had just witnessed, and was entertained. As the Jedi had said, it was far from over, and Relsor had no intention of allowing it to be over either. He looked to one of the acolytes who stood nearby. The human looked barely fit to be back on duty.
            ‘You there, what’s your name?’
‘Do me a favour, it will be easy for one such as yourself, and go fetch Jedi Brenum’s lightsabers from his cell. They are in stasis. You are adept with Force energy or lightning, are you not?’
Relsor could feel the Sith’s rage permeate as he rolled his eyes. Good, an aggravated Sith could prove useful against the Jedi. The Sith began to walk past him.
‘You see, Shadie, even you cannot kill all the Sith in this galaxy. Evidently this weak and undertrained acolyte from the Empire survived injuries that were caused by you. I thought you would be more powerful than that.’
‘That’s right, Shadie,’ said Awgro, ‘you failed to kill me, and the Dark Council will relish in knowing how that transpired, how I managed to survive.’
‘Yes, yes,’ said Perce, ‘but the Dark Council won’t train you the way we will. Now step to it, Sith.’
‘It will be my greatest honour to learn from you both.’ The acolyte bowed politely and then hurriedly left the room.
‘Why do you speak to him with such disrespect?’ said Shadie. ‘He is Sith, no?’
‘He’s from the Empire, your former Empire. He deserves as little respect as the Empire itself. You Jedi on the other hand, though I hate to admit it, deserve much more.’
‘I’m glad this humours you,’ said Brenum, ‘but I fail to see what you or that Sith have anything to do with what has just happened.’
‘Everything, you see,’ said Relsor, standing. Awgro returned with the lightsabers and handed them to Brenum. ‘Knarf, please explain to us what you did.’
Knarf looked at Shadie, then at Brenum and Trylia. ‘I sliced into the Republic’s security mainframe for the holocams. I also programmed the superlasers to detonate as though they were one superlaser, as opposed to several.’ Perce cleared his throat. ‘Sorry, I instructed Perce on how to do it. I ensured that what we saw happen today would be possible. And it was, and it has happened.’ There was coldness in his voice.
Awgro returned and handed Brenum his lightsabers.
‘This is why you brought me my lightsabers,’ said Brenum, looking at his weapons, then back at Relsor. ‘You want me to fight him.’ Relsor nodded to Brenum, who brought up his arm, holding his unpowered weapon and pointing it at Knarf. ‘You want a fight, Relsor? You need not ask. I have every reason to fight Knarf right now and make him pay for his treacherous crime and betrayal.’
Igniting one lightsaber, Brenum swung at Knarf, who ducked and reignited his weapon. Blue and orange clashed, as the yellow blade came to life and sliced through the air, arcing upwards and around towards Knarf, who blocked that one as well.
‘I should have worn my beskar armour! Next time I duel him, Master, I should very much like to wear it and show him how his feeble attempts to hurt me will fail to penetrate the armour. I should very much like to show you my tricks. I have a thing I do with the armour that allows me to attack in ways no Jedi or Sith can, and seeing as I have the Force and a lightsaber, it allows me to manoeuvre in ways no Mandalorian can.’
‘That sounds very impressive, Knarf,’ said Relsor. ‘Perhaps next time, then.’
‘How can you so casually plan your next fight while you’re fighting now?’ cried Trylia.
‘Because he’s betrayed us, my sweet,’ said Brenum.
‘Stop it, both of you, this is ridiculous!’ Trylia shouted in shrill panic.
‘No, continue, keep fighting!’ Relsor snapped back at the Jedi.

Chapter Six – Healers of the Force (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Mandalore smiled back at Talyc through the holoprojection; Talyc had just given him an account of how things had been so far in his recovery.
‘And how are you getting on with all those Jedi around you?’
Talyc leaned in closer to the monitor. ‘To be honest, and I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like Tython, but it’ll be good to be back home.’
            ‘I’m glad to hear it!’
‘I hope Clan Kandera hasn’t had too much trouble from Dargoza,’ said Talyc.
‘Not that I’m aware of,’ replied Mandalore. Talyc nodded. ‘You just focus on getting yourself to your usual fit shape, let me worry about Dargoza and the others.’
‘Sounds good.’ Talyc laughed. He chimed out. He heard someone knocking on the bunker door and entering. He heard the person speaking as Talyc made his way to the entrance.
‘Hello? Fane said I could just come in to let you know…’
‘Whoa!’ Talyc doubled over, tripping on himself, backing up to the wall. He saw green hued skin and face tattoos. He hurried to the other end of the bunker and grabbed his vibroblade. He returned and pointed it right at the intruder, who had a very puzzled look on their face. Talyc felt himself begin to sweat and he blinked as his vision blurred slightly.
‘Uhm, Talyc, it’s okay.’ The being hesitated. ‘Remember me? Josur? I was on Mandalore when the True Sith attacked Coruscant.’
Talyc took a firmer grip on his vibroblade, holding it with both hands. He took a step forward. ‘Just, stay where you are, Mirialan. Hold it right there, don’t move. Don’t come any closer.’
‘I’m not moving, Talyc.’ The voice was soothing. ‘It’s all right. I’m a friend.’
Talyc realised the voice was male. He blinked a few more times. The green blur cleared and Talyc could see Josur’s face, a concerned look upon it. Talyc dropped his vibroblade, backing up to the wall again, and let himself slide down it, feeling defeated. He was shaking.
            ‘I’m sorry. You’re the first Mirialan I’ve seen since…’
‘I know, it’s okay; Fane filled me in.’ Josur hesitated. ‘Can I come in?’ Talyc nodded and Josur walked to him, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder as he crouched next to him. ‘I can understand you’d think any Mirialan would be her. However, you do realise I’m missing a few parts and have a few parts too many, if you catch my meaning.’ Talyc laughed, despite himself. ‘Come on, let’s get you up.’
Josur helped Talyc up. Talyc wiped his forehead and looked at the Jedi, taking a deep breath. The Jedi held him steady; Talyc was still swaying a bit.
Fane and Lian walked in, followed by the Republic Supreme Chancellor.
‘Talyc are you all right?’ asked Fane, concern in his voice. Talyc nodded.
‘He experienced a flashback of some sort,’ explained Josur. ‘It’s my Mirialan face, you see.’
‘Oh!’ Fane looked a bit confused. Josur chuckled.
‘It’s okay,’ said Talyc. ‘I thought he was her for a moment.’ He looked at Josur. ‘I’m sorry about that, to compare you to her, worst insult ever.’ Josur laughed and let go of Talyc who was able to stand on his own now.
‘We’ll work on that later,’ said Lian, ‘healing those memories.’
Talyc smiled sheepishly; he felt embarrassed. He waved shyly at the Supreme Chancellor. Emain walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
‘I hear you suffered the same tortures as I did at the hands of Perce,’ he said. ‘Know that you have my sympathies and my greatest understanding. We share a mutual hatred for the man.’
‘You can say that again,’ said Talyc, ‘him and Relsor both.’
Emain nodded. ‘Don’t worry, we’ll get back at him. For one, I’m standing here very much alive, and soon, the entire galaxy is going to think me dead. And then when Shadie escapes her captivity, I will reveal myself to the galaxy and wipe that smirk off Perce’s smug face.’ He looked at Josur. ‘Which I can’t stop saying, I’m just too eager.’
‘I look forward to that,’ said Talyc.
‘First things first,’ said Fane. ‘Let’s install ourselves to watch the security holocams and hope that Eight-Oh doesn’t get too damaged from the blast.’ Fane turned to Talyc. ‘Emain received word as he was landing on Tython that Relsor’s shuttle has arrived on Coruscant.’
‘Whatever we’re doing this for, I hope Knarf knows what he’s doing,’ said Talyc.
They installed themselves around the holoscreen monitor and waited.

Chapter Five – Healers of the Force (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Warning: The following chapter contains mature subject matter, which may be triggering to some readers. Reading discretion is advised.

Fane knelt in meditation, focusing on the malady in the Force to which Lian had guided him. He felt Talyc’s hand on his thigh. He had asked him to keep constant contact, that way, should he begin to lose control, he would have something tangible to bring him back to the current place and moment, just like the last time.
Fane concentrated on Relsor and simply on being present and listening. In the Force, Relsor was creating something, and Lian was touching it, Fane was within it and experiencing it. Fane could not pick up Relsor’s thoughts as he was hoping he would, but he could pick up the sounds around. He could also see.
Relsor was walking through the halls, as far as Fane could tell, towards rooms that looked like holding cells.
‘Is everything set in place?’ he heard Relsor’s voice ask.
‘As set in place as it can be at this stage,’ replied Perce.
‘Good. And how is my apprentice?’
‘Sitting in his cell, comfortably,’ said Perce. ‘Are you sure it’s wise to let him run around loose after he’s supposedly proven himself?’
‘It won’t be all the time, he knows the conditions of our relationship, but yes, I am confident. And you know what will make this day even better, Perce?’ Relsor looked at Perce who creased his brow. ‘Setting other parts of my plan in motion.’
Fane suddenly felt ill from something he could not explain. His stomach lurched inside him. He felt Talyc’s hand caress his thigh, as though to soothe him; he figured he must be making a face of some sort for Talyc to recognise his need for soothing.
Fane momentarily distanced himself, then dove back into the folds of the Force surrounding Relsor. He was back inside of him. He could feel his eagerness. He pushed further, determined to enter the Chiss Sith’s mind once more. He did not wish to push too far, but he wanted to test his capacity to hold his presence inside Relsor’s head.

* * *
Relsor entered Brenum’s holding cell. The Jedi looked at him defiantly. He smiled back at him and sent him lightning.
He growled in pain, balling his hands into fists. ‘What do you want from me?’ he asked.
‘From you? Right now, nothing. But perhaps later I may kill you.’
‘Don’t you dare touch her! Don’t you dare even lay one finger on her!’
‘Watch me! Wait, yes, maybe I will let you watch.’

Character Line-up of 15 (SWTOR Fan-Fiction Photoshop Experiments)

I created a character line-up of multiple characters from my SWTOR Star Wars Fan-fiction story series. Not all of them are there obviously, and some are current or future characters. I will create more of these to make the main page of the series more interesting, with images.

For the background I used a screenshot from one of my SWTOR Strongholds (Yavin). Adjusting all characters with light and colour, it required over 100 layers for all the shadows, lightsaber hilts, lightsaber blades, the border of background light, some effects like lightning, some had extra armour I had to move around or add. I wanted Fane and Talyc to hold hands, so that was the most complicated part, I’d say.

In order from left to right, the characters in this image are: Relsor a.k.a. Harr’elso’rothmor (leader of the True Sith, Chiss), Jassahmi (True Sith, Mirialan), Perce (leader of the Followers of Kromus, Relsor’s right-hand man, human), Vax (to be introduced in Story 8, Rattataki), Lady Gofaylia (Sith, member of the Dark Council, human), Storimbu (Sith, Follower of Kromus, Miraluka), Shadie and Knarf (Jedi of sorts, human), Lord Void (Sith, member of the Dark Council, human), Nriwe (Mandalorian, Clan Kandera’s second, Twi’lek), Talyc (Mandalorian, leader of Clan Kandera, human), Fane (Jedi, human), Brenum (Jedi, human), Trylia (Jedi, Togruta), and Lian, (Jedi, member of the Jedi Council, Twi’lek).

Shadie Story Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction Group of 15 Characters (Celinka Serre)

As always, I’m open to feedback.

These images were created for my Star Wars The Old Republic Fan-fiction story, Healers of the Force, Story 6 in the Darth Shadie / Jedi Eidahs series.
