“Low-key” Holiday What Is Love To You Challenge Answers
What Is Love To You has another challenge, and I accept it! I embrace it! Come to my bosom, challenge. (Okay, this is meant in a motherly way.)
Who I’d Love To Kiss
If this can be a video game character, I’ll say Solas (a character from Dragon Age who is an ancient elven god). He needs hugs. Poor guy tried to save his ancient elven people and caused mass destruction and turmoil instead. Now he thinks the only way to restore the old world is to destroy the current one, and he’s preventing himself from being with the woman he loves because he believes he must continue this self-sabotaging mission.
(Wow, I actually explained that in just one paragraph! I could gush about him for ages! — I’m not kidding — And in Dragon Age, ages are 100 years long.)
And I mean, just look at him.
Oh, does it have to be a real live person? In that case…
I love making love to my love, my husband. I also love writing characters who make love. At times, my Erotic Romance short stories reflect my preferences and turn-ons. At times they even reflect things I have done in real life.
And it’s funny, I used to be so uncomfortable when it came to asserting myself sexually due to sexual abuse.
Can you believe I once believed I wasn’t sexy!?
As I healed, I became more assertive, I dared to explore writing more sexual scenes. As I write more erotic scenes, the more assertive I feel sexually, and I realised it helps me heal. So the more I write about love, romance, and erotic scenes, the more assertive I become, the more I assert myself sexually and romantically, the more comfortable I am writing love, romance and erotic scenes.
Today has been full of emotional challenges, some of which I won’t get into, but needless to say, Trauma Voice, whom I like to call Fear Voice, has been kicking my butt.
Living with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder ain’t easy. It is a trauma-based response, once which I have been healing from A LOT.
Who Is Fear Voice
Fear Voice is the voice of trauma that perpetuates the brainwashing and abuse that I lived. It can be things from childhood trauma, it can be minute things too, things that hurt me even if just briefly, and it can be everything my abuser would tell me and do to me. That is why Fear Voice is a “he.”
I’d like you to imagine that you have closed your eyes as you read these words, and just picture yourself as the embodiment of tranquility. Because you deserve some quiet time and a bit of tranquil space for yourself, your thoughts, to refocus. Just listen to the silence as your mind just wanders to wherever it may go. And hear my soothing voice caress your ears.
Breathe in. You are amazing. Breathe out.
Remember that when you stop for just a few moments, you allow your mind to recharge and to reset its concentration so you can then continue to be efficient. Remember this when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
Breathe in deeply. You are powerful. Breathe out.
That’s right. You have all the power to achieve your goals, to address your hurts and heal them. You have all the power to take back control of your life, because ultimately this is your life and you are the master of your universe.
