Secrets from the Past Prologue + Chapter One (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Shortly after the events at the Crypt.

Lord Void entered the Dark Council Chamber.  He walked to the centre, his boots plodding heavily as he did so, echoing in the silent chamber.  He turned to look at the others.
‘You have seen the holorecording?’ he asked.
‘Yes,’ replied several of the others.
‘Former Master of the Sith Academy on Korriban, now in cahoots with the Mandalorians and the Jedi,’ a Dark Council member said, ‘can the old man truly be trusted?’
‘He aided the Jedi on Mandalore,’ said Lord Void, ‘yet Lord Usharr is an enemy to Relsor, who clearly has no regard for the alliance he bartered with the Sith Empire.’
‘Lord Void,’ his Dark Council leader said to him, ‘you were here, in this chamber, when Relsor approached us, you witnessed his might, felt his malady, saw his illusions.  We cannot turn away from his alliance now.’
‘You will let fear guide you instead of fuelling you?’ said Void.  ‘Let us allow our passions and fears to fuel us with the necessary power to turn away from a false ally.  The proof is there.’ Void put emphasis in his voice, rallying the toher Dark Council members. ‘Recall the Sith, let them return to the Empire, where they can fight with us, for the Empire.  We can weaken Relsor by reneging our alliance and the Jedi can defeat him.  Then while the Jedi are weak and recovering and the Sith Empire strong, we can strike at our true enemy and take the galaxy for ourselves.  What say you?’
There was a murmur in the room and finally, when it died down, the Dark Council members had settled to devise a strategy to retreat from the alliance in a way that would be more subtle and safer.
Afterwards, Lord Void left the chamber and contacted Awgro.
‘What news?’ he asked of him.
‘A Republic envoy has flown by Relsor’s flagship while the True Sith Lord was away.  They flew close.  Then they left.  If a tracking beacon has been put on the ship, I know not, but if it has, then Shadie will know more about it.’
‘Excellent, Awgro.  See if you can find out more.  Let us earn her trust if we must.  And be wary of Relsor.  His days are numbered.  The Empire grows stronger.  We will strike when Relsor has been eliminated.’

Training – SWTOR Stand-Alone Fan-Fiction Short Story

I wrote a stand-alone fanfic scene taking place in the SWTOR universe, between three existing characters. It is an explicit scene. The excerpt is however safe for work.

Theron and Koth taunt each other while training and things quickly heat up
before they are interrupted by Lana, whom they entice to join them.

Theron entered the training room. Koth was already working out. He wore training gear, except his shirt was on the floor in a corner.
‘Didn’t realise you’d be up this early,’ said Theron.
‘You didn’t expect to have the whole room to yourself, did you?’
‘At this hour? One could hope for some peace and quiet,’ replied Theron.
‘Too bad for you,’ said Koth, lifting a set of weights, his muscles bulging. ‘You’re not the only one who enjoys some alone workout time.’
‘Yeah, well, at least I don’t need the training,’ said Theron.
‘Ho-ho! Then why are you even here?’ Behind the weights he was lifting, Koth cocked a brow, giving Theron a sardonic look.
‘I like to stay one step ahead of my enemies,’ said Theron, jabbing at a punching bag. ‘Make sure someone like you doesn’t get better than me.’
‘And you think you’re better than me, Mister Slicer?’
‘Spy and slicer,’ Theron corrected. ‘And yes, I’m pretty agile in a fight.’
‘I’m the gunman of us two,’ said Koth, barely straining to lift the heavyweights. ‘I don’t waste my time slicing consoles all day. I stay in the fray of battle.’
‘Oh yeah? You really think you’ve got the skills?’ Theron walked towards Koth. ‘Let’s see it then.’
‘You’re on!’ Koth placed the weights back down and clapped his hands as he stood.
Koth and Theron took low stances, calculating and evaluating each other. Theron feigned to one side, and Koth came at him. Theron side-stepped as Koth rammed past him. Theron chuckled.
‘Told you I was nimble,’ said Theron. ‘You’re too used to being a ranged fighter. What happens when your enemies get too close for comfort? I think you lack the skills I possess.’ Theron chuckled again.
His laugh was cut short when Koth grabbed him from the side, spinning him around, locking his arms, and bringing him down to his knees.
‘You mean this close?’ asked Koth, pressing his cheek against Theron’s head.
His breath on Theron’s neck was hot and sent a warm shiver down Theron’s back.
‘That’s right, your crew was telling me you like to breathe down people’s necks,’ said Theron.
‘Only yours,’ replied Koth. Theron let out a laugh. ‘What’s wrong? Eating your words from earlier?’
        ‘You wish.’
Theron pulled Koth down, barrel rolling. Koth slid across the floor as Theron shot back up, laughing. He wiped sweat from his forehead and removed his shirt.
‘Things heating up too fast for you, Theron?’ Koth stood back up.
‘Not in the slightest,’ replied Theron.
‘I already pinned you down once, Theron. Wouldn’t want to embarrass you.’
‘You’ll only embarrass yourself,’ replied Theron, coming at Koth. The two grabbed each other’s arms and locked in their holds, pushing against the other.
Koth bent low and reached for Theron’s underarm, lifting him slightly off the ground and turning him around, locking his arm as he stood behind him.
‘You only know that one move or…?’ laughed Theron, making sure his feet remained firmly on the mat.
‘You keep falling for it,’ said Koth. ‘Looks like I get another point.’
‘You keep forgetting,’ began Theron. He twisted, pulling on Koth, and flipped Koth onto the mat on the ground. Koth fell onto his back with a thump and a groan. Theron loomed over him. ‘I always get myself out of it.’ He grinned.
Koth spun and kicked Theron behind the calves. Theron’s legs gave way, and he fell to his hands and knees.
‘Ooh, I love seeing you on your knees, Theron.’
‘Relish while you can, Koth, ‘cause I’m not staying in this position for long.’
Theron grabbed Koth’s leg, pulling the Zakkulan towards him. Koth rolled, grabbing Theron’s waist, and ended up on top of Theron.
‘Looks like the victory’s mine,’ said Koth, grinning.
        ‘Not so fast, Vortena!’

Protectors of the Force Chapter Eleven + Epilogue (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

The group of Jedi stumbled out of the Sphere. Lian struggled to move forward but insisted he could walk.  Fane joined Shadie to hold him up.
‘I’m fine, I can walk,’ said Lian.  He stumbled forward, dropping to one knee and cursed in Huttese.
‘You don’t have to prove anything to us, Lian,’ said Talyc.  ‘I’m sure if this Sith thinks you’re worthy, it won’t have anything to do with your strength here or lack thereof.’
Lian looked up at the Mandalorian and smiled.  ‘I appreciate…’  He felt a pang of pain and grunted, clenching his teeth.
Shadie put her hand on the door, and Lian saw it roll into the wall.  He had heard much about this place, yet never realised how heavy the dark side felt here, nor how dim it was.  He hoped it would not alter his being.   And yet, however strong the dark side was here, Lian did not feel stifled by it; whatever his fears, it seemed to allow for his light.
Everyone hurried through each chamber and Brenum pushed the top of a sarcophagus.  The platform began to descend, turning slowly, as had been described to Lian before.
Brenum pressed his lips together.  ‘I should never have agreed to help rid the atmosphere of starfighters,’ he said.  ‘My place was by your side and I failed you.’
‘No one has failed me,’ insisted Lian.
‘If anyone’s to blame,’ said Fane, ‘it’s me.  I just don’t get it!  I’m supposed to be able to be immune to Relsor’s stasis attacks.  Now another Kloh will die because of me and my inability to–’
‘Fane!’ Lian put sternness in his voice.  ‘Stop that right now.  You and I were meant to work together within the Force, but you are not ready to defeat Relsor and that is not your fault.’  Lian had a bit more strength now, but he knew it wouldn’t last for long.
‘I can’t even connect to Relsor without you, Lian,’ said Fane solemnly.
‘That’s because the Force connects us; that does not make you weak,’ replied Lian.
Trylia tended to Lian’s lekku; she had mended it in the Sphere. Though he still felt the wound tingle painfully, it was a lot less intense than it had been prior to their flight to the Crypt.
‘The wound has stopped bleeding but it’s still raw,’ said Trylia.  ‘Shall I change the bandage?’
‘No,’ said Lian.  ‘Remove it.  I want your Sith friend to see me as I am, in my full vulnerability.’
They arrived at the bottom level and helped Lian to the chamber where sat the ancient Pureblood Sith.

They all stood before the Sith, Fane and Shadie helping Lian stand.  The Sith stood from his throne and looked at Lian.
‘You bring me someone who has not passed the trials,’ he said.
Fane looked up at him.  ‘He doesn’t need to.  We did, and we brought him.’
Shadie placed a hand on Fane’s shoulder and nodded, mouthing, “It’s okay.”  Fane looked back at Lian, he looked pained, and every now and then he let out a moan or groan.
‘Stand on your own so I can evaluate you, Jedi,’ said the Sith.  ‘Who are you and why have you come here?’
‘I am Jedi Master Lian Kloh,’ said Lian, struggling to speak.  He placed a hand to his stomach and staggered towards the throne and fell on his hands and knees.  ‘I’ve come to trade places with you.  Grant me immortality, I shall give you freedom from this prison and take your place as Guardian of the Crypt.’ He moaned gruffly.
‘And why should I grant you this honour, you who have not passed any trials, you who possess no sign of darkness within you?  Your light side may desecrate this place entirely.’
‘I respect that it was created from the dark side, but in the Force exist both the light and the dark,’ said Lian.  He crawled forward a bit and then fell in pain, onto his stomach.
Fane started forward and Shadie put a hand to stop him.  ‘Let him be evaluated.’  Fane shook his head; he didn’t like this.  He felt pressed for time.  He looked at Knarf, who usually was one to feel such emotions, but the man seemed calm.
Lian managed to prop himself up a bit, leaning on one arm, yet breathing heavily.
‘I am a healer and I have been healing the Force.  I am the only one able to deflect Relsor’s malady, or at least part of it, able to prevent him from creating illusions.  If I die, then he has already won.’ Lian paused, panting.  ‘I have been healing the Force, and from this focal point, I can continue my work and heal the Force in ways that I cannot as a mortal being.  I can use the Crypt to reach the entire galaxy.  I can heal the Force and ensure that Fane,’ Lian looked back towards Fane, ‘succeeds when he confronts Relsor to destroy him.’
Lian grunted in pain again and fell back onto his stomach.  ‘Please,’ he said, breathing heavily, ‘I won’t… last much longer.  Kill me, let me die, or grant me immortality, but decide quickly.’
