Fane, Talyc & Mandalorians (SWTOR Fan-Fiction Photoshop Experiments)

Fane, Talyc, Lian, Rich and Corinne are characters from my SWTOR Star Wars Fan-fiction series. Fane and Talyc are lovers. Exceptionally, for Fane and Talyc, instead of having created SWTOR alts for them, I created Inquisitors from Dragon Age: Inquisition. There were more options in there for the specific look I was going for for these two characters.

Here, Fane is meditating, testing his newfound abilities. I added him onto a background simply, playing around with the Gaussian Blur for the background and adjusting the lighting and colour on his face a lot to fit with the background.

Here Lian, a Twi’lek Jedi Master and healer, is healing Talyc of his trauma. It was a bit tricky to get the arms the way I wanted, and it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done, and with some additional shadows, it gives depth and perspective to their proximity to each other.

On the left, Rich, is usually named by his title in the story, Mandalore, ruler of Mandalore and of the Mandalorians. On the right is his wife, Corinne, who prefers to go by Mrs. Mandalore as long as her husband is the current Mandalore. They are characters created in SWTOR and placed on SWTOR screenshots of mine. Both were not smiling originally, so I used Liquify for their mouth and nose area and their eyes a bit.

As always, I’m open to feedback.

Chapter Three – Healers of the Force (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Talyc awoke feeling heavy, his head spun. He looked about the room, gathering his bearings, remembering where he was and that he was safe. Fane was at a console and turned around smiling.
‘Looks like he’s awake, you can tell him yourself.’ Fane stood and motioned the monitor. ‘Mandalore’s on the holocall.’
Talyc nodded and got himself out of bed. When he sat down in front of the monitor, he saw that Mandalore was accompanied by his wife. Their holoforms smiled at him.
‘Mandalore, Co… I mean, Mrs. Mandalore, it’s good to see you,’ said Talyc.
‘Talyc,’ said Mandalore, ‘I’m glad to see you are safe. You’ve looked better, but I trust you are in good hands and will be back to duty soon enough.’
‘I feel rather weak, but I’ve been worse. Those Sith did a good number on me.’
‘Fane was telling us,’ said Mrs. Mandalore. ‘He’s been keeping us appraised of everything.’
‘Yeah, I kept making calls every day while you were out,’ said Fane. ‘I feel like I’ve really grown closer to our Mandalorian leaders, Mandalore and his proxy, who happens to be his wife, and yet she still won’t tell me her name!’ Fane feigned dejection.
‘That’s because only clan leaders and their seconds know her true name,’ laughed Talyc. ‘And I’m not about to get on her bad side and tell you.’
‘Smart man,’ said Mrs. Mandalore with a laugh. She winked. There was a short pause.
Mandalore’s face grew stern. ‘I hear that Darth Perce probed your mind.’ Talyc nodded, knowing this was ill news for his leader. ‘What did he gather from it?’
Talyc closed his eyes and sighed. ‘The codes embedded in my images; some of them were Mandalorian secrets.’ Talyc paused. ‘I’m sorry. If you need to demote me…’
‘Nonsense, you are a fine clan leader.’ Mandalore’s face remained stern, but his tone conveyed conviction. ‘It isn’t your fault that these Sith are fixated on us and the company we keep. But I have to ask, in those secrets, was there information about our planetary defences?’
‘Only the main bits, nothing major, no weapons descriptions, no beskar armour tricks or secrets, but there was information that may lead him to figure out how to get through the shields and bypass the blockade.’
‘Then I will readjust the blockade,’ said Mandalore. ‘Was there anything regarding the secret bunker, the hidden fortress-bunker that houses much of our weapons that we are to use if we are attacked on planet?’
‘No. Given you’ve told me very little about its lower levels, and that we’ve not had a need for it yet, it was not on my mind, so I doubt he caught on to that and no information regarding that was on my datapad. If they attack Mandalore and we must gather our people, the secret fortress-bunker is secure and our safe haven.’
‘Good. That place is as big as it is ancient. It hides more armour, weapons and beskar than its worth in credits could be held in a bank. It houses many of our finest ships and fighters.’
‘I assure you, Mandalore, it is all secure.’ Talyc stared intently at Mandalore, who nodded, his expression softening. ‘How is the rest of Clan Kandera?’
‘I’ll let them tell you themselves, which reminds me, I have an appointment to keep. We’ll speak soon.’
‘Take care of yourself, Talyc,’ said Mrs. Mandalore. Mandalore chimed out.
‘What does he mean by that?’ Talyc looked up at Fane; his man smiled.
‘He means that they are all coming here,’ said Fane, beaming. Talyc took that in; it would be good to see the others of his clan. There was a strange chime. Fane walked to the table and took the data-com. ‘It’s the coordinates to Shadie’s mystery friend.’
‘You’re not going to go, are you?’
‘I have to, she’s asked me to, but it can wait. We’ve got a clan to catch up with.’

Shadie & Companions (SWTOR Fanfic Photoshop Experiments)

Shaide, Knarf, Brenum and Trylia are all characters from my SWTOR Star Wars fan-fiction series, and are currently all captives on Relsor’s flagship.

Knarf is cosplayed by my husband, while Brenum is a SWTOR character. There were many layers to this one, as I had to place the armour and Brenum’s arms, make adjustments for the positioning. Also, With three lightsabers in play and their reflection, I had to figure out how to appropriately make their light reflect without hindering the reflection of the other. Finally I went with attaching an extra lightsaber glow duplicates to each of these men’s layers. It worked.

Trylia is a Togruta, here held in captivity by a dark side energy Force stasis field, while Relsor is taunting her. The character I use for Trylia does not have that same skin colour, so I had to use colour replacement tool for her skin and her lekku. Aside from that, it was basically slapping the characters on a background, with some additional lightning layers. As always, I adjust the lighting and colour for my characters and the background according to the scene.

This one is a bit of a spoiler, if you prefer to skip it. Shadie is cosplayed by me, and here Relsor’s mind is being more-or-less taken over by Fane through meditation abilities. I duplicated Relsor’s head a couple of times and played around with the opacity, and then placed Fane’s head, lowering the opacity, to give the desired effect.

Chapter Two – Healers of the Force (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Warning: The following chapter contains mature subject matter, which may be triggering to some readers. Reading discretion is advised.

Relsor chose to make his rounds privately to speak with his Jedi prisoners. He decided to keep Shadie for last, and chose to visit Knarf first. As eager as he was to speak with the Togruta Jedi, he felt an affinity towards Knarf and wanted to see how the now Jedi slicer was getting on.
Relsor had waited a few days before visiting his prisoners; the isolation was part of his plan and was crucial to ensure that Shadie would begin her descent back towards the dark side. Besides, within the dark side energy stasis, there was no risk of any of them being able to escape. Relsor had hence all the time he needed to move his plan forward; He had only needed to quell his own eagerness to unlock the secrets he needed to unlock. He knew his plan would take time.
Given that he had momentarily blanked out the other day and how he suspected Jedi Master Lian was behind it, he had decided to let his prisoners suffer in isolation a little bit longer. However, now Relsor could no longer quell his eagerness to speak with them and would no longer wait. Of course, he wouldn’t let that show on his face, nor in the Force.
He entered the room where Knarf was being held. The slicer turned his head to look at him, he was smiling. Relsor scowled.
‘You don’t suppose you have anything more comfortable than this, do you?’ said Knarf.
Relsor simply looked at him, blinking a few times. ‘I think right there how you are is how I prefer you,’ said Relsor.
Knarf laughed. ‘You almost sound like Shadie.’ His glance drifted into the distance. ‘You know, before we arrived here, in her meditation chamber… There’s just something about that room. And the walls have dampeners too, so anyone outside the room can’t hear us. So Shadie can scream as loudly as she wants and I can make her go as crazy with pleasure as I want and…
‘Enough! Stop it, Knarf.’ Relsor pinched the bridge of his nose. ‘I’m not interested in hearing about how you and Shadie pleasured each other before boarding my ship.’
‘Oh, but I was just getting to get good part,’ said Knarf.

* * *

Relsor stared at him, incredulous, his mouth agape. Knarf smiled, biting his lips.
            ‘There’s a pillow in that room, and…’
            ‘No,’ said Relsor. ‘Spare me.’
            ‘Suit yourself,’ Knarf giggled.
Relsor just looked at him and put a hand to his forehead, shaking his head. Knarf would be damned if he let the Chiss Sith get to him with fear for his Lady. The best thing he could do right now was think about how he’d made love to her and keep that in his mind as a reminder of their love, their strong bond, their Force-bond of love. He supposed it worked, because Relsor left without saying another word. Knarf laughed.
He looked back at the table where his weapons and helmet lay. He had gotten rid of the Sith quickly enough, he could focus again on trying to access the helmet’s comchannel activation keys. It had occurred to him, as the Sith had installed him in this uncomfortable stasis contraption, that if he could use the Force on his helmet, he could potentially communicate with Talyc, provided his friend had his helmet nearby. He knew Talyc would need a lot of rest and he hoped he was okay. He also knew Talyc would be in good hands with Fane and Lian on Tython.
Knarf concentrated, and reached out with the Force, feeling the inside of his helmet, feeling the HUD system, he blinked as though blinking here would do the same as blinking in the helmet. Nothing happened. He closed his eyes and focused on a different area instead. He reached, pushed, pulled, trying to simply access the part of the HUD that would activate the comchannel. He heard a small clicking sound before losing his concentration on it. He had been able to access it! His excitement had caused him to break the connection, he knew. This was a beginning.
Knarf closed his eyes and focused some more. If he could hold it for longer, if he could hold it without closing his eyes, then he could relay everything that went on in this room to his friends.
