The Future of the Force Chapter Five (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Talyc sat with Vax in the cantina in Kaas City. They had just finished a game of Deejarik and Talyc had lost miserably. They were sipping some particularly good brandy, but the barkeep wouldn’t tell them where it was from. Talyc wondered if that meant he probably didn’t want to know.
‘I’ll expect a rematch,’ said Talyc.
‘I didn’t expect you to be so sour at losing a game of Deejarik,’ said Vax.
‘Hey, I have a reputation to uphold. I need to win back my score,’ laughed Talyc.
‘You’re just looking for an excuse to have a handsome face to look at while you’re pining over your man,’ Vax teased.
            ‘I’m not pining!’
‘At least you’re not denying my good looks,’ laughed Vax.
‘That would be difficult to do,’ said Talyc. ‘You are after all easy on the eyes.’
‘I’m not the only one,’ said Vax.
Talyc looked at his glass, feeling himself blush. ‘That barkeep has a secret about this brandy and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.’
‘Don’t change the subject, Talyc. Admit it, you’ve enjoyed being by my side.’
‘Sure, I’ve had a ball of a time being a semi-captive,’ said Talyc with humoured sarcasm. Vax cocked his brow. ‘In all seriousness, I have enjoyed myself. It’s been like a vacation of sorts. Can’t remember the last time I had one of those. Even if I’m at home doing almost nothing, I’m still the clan leader and always busy with the clan.’
‘We make a good team,’ said Vax.
‘We’ve always made a good team,’ said Talyc.
Vax’s comlink chimed and he checked his datapad. ‘The Minister requires to meet with me, and on my day off. I’m afraid I’m going to have to love you and leave you.’ Vax winced, catching himself, Talyc saw. ‘I’m sorry, that’s not the best expression to use, considering.’
‘It’s all right,’ said Talyc. ‘I know what you meant.’
            ‘I’m not leaving,’ said Vax.
‘Hardly,’ said Talyc, ‘you’re the one in charge of keeping an eye on me.’ Talyc chuckled. ‘Go to your meeting. I’ll be here or about.’
Vax stood, backing away a bit, then he turned and left more briskly. Talyc finished his drink and then exited the cantina. He looked around Kaas City; it always looked the same. Then he saw a Sith meditation Sphere enter the atmosphere and his heart leapt. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. At last, Lord Void had pulled through and had called upon Shadie and the others to come for him. Talyc hurried to the spaceport.

Imperial, Sith, and Jedi Allies (SWTOR Fanfic Photoshop Experiments)

The Jedi always have unlikely allies from unlikely places. One such place is the Sith Empire. Here Lord Void stands with the Minister of Imperial Intelligence, now openly offering an alliance of sorts, given the circumstances. Both characters are depictions from SWTOR, again placed on a background from a screenshot taken directly from Dromund Kaas.

And here, Lian Kloh, the Guardian of the Crypt, whose life is bound to it now, senses Relsor in the Force after meditating. I brought in his arms a bit to make in appear as though he is kneeling, and had him use an emote from SWTOR.

The Future of the Force Chapter Four (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

Relsor walked along the halls of his ship towards the room where he knew his passion was feeding their son. Even though it had been but mere hours since they were last intimate, he longed to feel the passion she provided him.
He had met her a number of months after the events on Ziost. Maranna had been among the Followers of Kromus. She had more recently joined the True Sith, having been hunted by the Sith Empire for she was not only Force-sensitive, but she also had a Force defect. It appeared that she was able to absorb powers and abilities directed near her or towards her, but she was unable to reconduct them outwardly; it was all inwards and thus she had been a problem to the Empire, but not to Relsor.
Their love and passion had been almost immediate, and Maranna was completely unaffected by Relsor’s malady or abilities. When testing his powers, others standing next to her had been ill or had perished, while she had stood unaffected, untouched.
Relsor had feared, when she announced that she was with child, that their child would die, but it seemed the infant was also unaffected by Relsor’s malady, though he was able to redirect the Force outwardly, and he had shown much potential already in his first year.
Relsor had been by his passion’s side while she had given birth, and their love and child seemed to give him such strength, he was able to shroud himself in the Force and use it to reach his enemies and attempt to overpower them. His powers allowed him to detect every time Fane and Lian tried to enter his mind, and he cut them off before they were able to find him. He was also able to reach out to Shadie with his malady. If she died, he would be Master of the Crypt again, Lian’s powers would be neutralised, and Fane’s abilities to destroy him would be negated.
Maranna was human, but their son was Chiss, only a few mild tones lighter than Relsor’s darker blue, and his eyes bright red-magenta, like Relsor’s, but shaped like his mother’s beautiful human eyes.
Relsor entered the room. ‘My passion,’ he said.
Maranna stood from her seat, replying in kind. The baby boy was in his cot. Relsor breathed in as she approached. He took her in his arms.
‘It seems as though I need you constantly by my side to feel this passion, this power. It is a wonderful sensation,’ he said. She smiled. ‘Do you remember when we met, you were frightened you would disappoint me because of your defect?’
‘And instead, I was exactly what you needed me to be,’ she replied.
‘Where were you all the years I searched for the passion that fuelled my powers,’ said Relsor, brushing her hair out of her face.
‘Too short a time these few years have been, I know, and the time of your destiny approaches, but we must hold hope that you will be victorious and defeat Jedi Fane, that you will survive. And then the galaxy can be ours.’

The Future of the Force Chapter Three (Star Wars SWTOR Fan-Fiction)

The ship entered Hyperspace with no sign of pursuit. Vax breathed out a sigh of relief. Those Jedi had seemingly come out of nowhere, but he didn’t think they knew he had been on-planet.
He stood from his seat at the controls and went to check on Talyc. He put a hand on the unconscious Mandalorian’s face. He felt warmer and the colour was returning to his skin with some pink on his cheeks. Vax observed him for a few moments. He dared not to think what could have happened had he not found him at Awgro’s mercy. While Vax had known Awgro meant to kill a Mandalorian, he had not known the Mandalorian in question was Talyc. The Sith had also not told him was why he wanted to kill him. At least he knew the prototype energy shield functioned as intended.
Vax went to the holoterminal and contacted the Minister of Intelligence; he only now realised the Minister had tried to raise him earlier.
The holoimage of the Minister appeared.
            ‘Minister,’ said Vax.
‘Cypher Five, I’m glad you are reporting in. I hope you are no longer on Mandalore. The Sith you were accompanying has gone rogue and is no longer to be trusted, as per orders from the Dark Council.’
Vax nodded. ‘I saw that. He tried to kill Clan Leader Talyc Kandera. I arrived in time and had the opportunity to test the prototype energy shield. It works. It saved both of us from Awgro.’
The Minister narrowed his eyes. ‘Now, when you say “both of us,” what exactly do you mean?’
‘I mean precisely that,’ replied Vax. ‘I saved Talyc, and now he’s in my care.’
The Minister stood. ‘You mean to tell me you’ve kidnapped a Mandalorian clan leader?’
‘Kidnapped is a very strong word, Minister,’ said Vax. ‘I saved his life!’ Vax put enough emphasis without raising his voice. ‘Awgro was trying to kill him and he is not stopping there. The Jedi and his clan failed to protect him from Awgro who remains on Mandalore; therefore I deemed it best he come with me. He will be better protected on Dromund Kaas.’
The Minister sighed. ‘Very well. I suppose it is too late to return him now. I hope you know what you’re doing, Cypher Five; technically, that man is our enemy.’
‘He doesn’t have to be,’ said Vax.
‘I want you to bring him in for questioning as soon as you touch down on Dromund Kaas, and I mean immediately when you arrive.’
            ‘Understood. Cypher out.’

* * *

A small contingent of guards took Talyc from the med bed and lifted him, carrying him from Vax’s ship; the Mandalorian’s feet dragged on the ground. Vax did not particularly like the idea of Talyc being taken in this way, but he had to follow procedure, given he’d essentially acted out of order.
When they arrived at the Minister’s office, the tall man sat behind his desk, scowling.
‘I hope you know what you’re doing bringing this man here to Dromund Kaas,’ he said.
            ‘You’ve said, yes,’ replied Vax.
The Minister looked at the guards. ‘Remove his armour. Regular procedures.’
The guards removed the armour pieces, as others continued to hold Talyc up. Not quite the way Vax would have imagined watching Talyc being stripped of his gear, but he stood watching, hands behind his back, and did not object to the procedures. The guards put the armour, vibroblade and blaster in a crate and tossed it aside.
‘You’ll safeguard his things,’ said the Minister.
‘Yes. He can stay at my apartment,’ said Vax.
‘With a guard outside your door,’ added the Minister. ‘Now search his person for anything that might be hidden: datapads, recording devices, trackers, anything at all.’
The guards began searching as Talyc started to come to, his head lolling, and his eyes slowly opening. He moaned in discomfort before his eyes went wide and he began wrestling the guards, fighting them as any skilled warrior would. He had one in a lock as another shocked him and punched him in the gut.
‘That’s enough!’ Vax called out, stepping between the guards and Talyc, taking hold of Talyc to help him stand. ‘I did not bring him here to be tortured. I brought him here so that the Empire could protect him from that Sith Awgro.’
