The 2nd Edition of Stardust Destinies I Variate Facing is now available on Amazon, Barnes n Noble, Chapters/Indigo, and other online book stores.

Author’s Note:

I am so proud of myself to have worked on this 2nd Edition. I learnt so much, not only working with other editors, but also as a writer on Medium, and I put all I learnt into enhancing the story of the first book to bring it up to par with the 2nd.

The re-edit includes extended scenes, rephrasing of the narrative in some places to respect my voice better, revisions by my new editor who edited book 2, and a few additional changes, like turning ‘said’ dialogue tags into alternatives that convey the characters’ emotions better.

Embark on the journey with the Five of the Star!

The Compliment Book – Epic Fantasy Fiction Lore for Stardust Destinies

The Compliment Book is the second of two spell books containing important and powerful spells. The first book, the Book of Enchantment, contains the first half or main parts of spells, and the Compliment Book contains the other half or the commanding final phrase of the spell.

The books were created from one original book in order to protect the Portal Key Spell from the Morkans who wished to gain access to the Portal and be the most powerful.

Entering the Portal was reserved for those knowledgeable and powerful enough in magic who were ready to pass on to become stars at the end of their life.

Counting Time & Polken Talk – Appendix 4 & 5 — Epic Fantasy Lore for Stardust Destinies

Counting Time

The Telorians, along with all polcs, have a different way of counting the days than we do. The polc New Year’s Day falls on the shortest day of the year. The longest day of the year is called Half Year’s Day. In between each, when night and day are of equal length, is the Warm Quarter Day and the Cool Quarter Day. The polcs count 365 days each year, like we do, and every fourth year, there is an extra day before Warm Quarter Day (our Spring Equinox). They count four seasons: Spring, Summer, Colouring, and Winter. Spring starts on Warm Quarter Day, Summer on Half Year’s Day, and so forth.

Polcs don’t have months like we do. They have the notion of weeks, though. This may become confusing when keeping track of their birthdays, but if you’re used to counting with the sun, it becomes second nature. Someone’s birthday would be on the oomph day of the umph week of the season, or the oomph of the year. They knew that Warm Quarter Day fell on the 90th day of the year, Half Year’s Day on the 183rd, Cool Quarter Day on the 276th, and New Year’s Day on the first.
