Songs That Break My Heart 😭 – Response To The Songs About Love That Hit Me Hard challenge!

I first read about this challenge from 

The Sturg whose story was in my feed. So I checked out 

Lucy Socha’s challenge regarding it.

So, here are five songs that break my heart when I listen to them. So fair warning, they might make you sad too.

Incomplete (Backstreet Boys)

This song was but a ballad to me for so long before I had ever known real heartbreak. And then I played Dragon Age: Inquisition and romanced a character who is not who he seems to be, who is set on doing something no matter what else that means, even if it means leaving and never seeing the woman he loves ever again. So many lyrics are so symbolic of this character and the scenes in the game; it’s incredible. It’s also a beautiful song.

Remember (Josh Groban)

This song was released for the 2004 movie Troy. It is a sad song about the loss of a lover to death. I have been lucky not to lose a lover in this way, but I have lost friends to death, and their partners fell apart. Just hearing the song gets me teary-eyed. I don’t know how I would be able to go on if I ever lost my husband.

Love the Way You Lie, Part 2 (Rihanna feat. Eminem)

Now this one is a powerful one for me. I dated a few guys who were either counter-dependent or had issues like drug addictions, or got involved with the wrong crowd of people. Being pushed away to be pulled back in always hurts. These relationships began so well and seemed so wonderful, but because we were in two different worlds emotionally, situations became toxic and escalated quickly, only for us to reconcile in the heat of passion and then to do it all over again a few days later.
