Fane and Talyc are main characters from my Star Wars fan-fiction series, which takes place in the Old Republic era. Fane is a Jedi and Shadie’s apprentice, with an aqua coloured lightsaber. Talyc Kandera is a Mandalorian from Clan Kandera. Both these characters discover something about themselves on Coruscant, which sort of challenges them in a way, but of course, you’ll have to read the story to know what that is.
Fane on Coruscant (Shadie series – Binky Ink – Celinka Serre)
Fane and Talyc both were created in-game of Dragon Age: Inquisition. I had something specific in mind that only the elaborate character creation of DAI could give me. For Talyc, I slapped armour on his body and added a scar on his nose. For Fane, I kept part of the Inquisitor’s tunic, and added Jedi armour, using colour replacement tools for both characters.
Talyc Kandera on Coruscant (Shadie series – Binky Ink – Celinka Serre)
The screenshots I use from SWTOR as backgrounds for these are from my Coruscant stronghold. It was the perfect fit. We don’t see much of Fane’s lightsaber, but I plan on using more screenshots in the future for future stories, where we can see Fane in a more elaborate fighting stance.
Doing cosplay with a mix of SWTOR gear and backgrounds is one thing, and using SWTOR in-game characters to embody my story’s characters was simple. This was the first time I mixed games and “cross-played” to fanfic cosplay characters, so I was’t sure what the end result would be. I plan on advancing my skills in the future to create improved photos.
