It is possible that in Dragon Age history, Andraste drank from a Well similar to the Well of Sorrows and that she spoke to an Evanuris posing as the Maker. It even says in the Chant of Light she came upon "emerald waters", the "Well of All Souls". I explain why in this Dragon Age: Dreadwolf theory.
